What you're buying
A report on one property, compiled from public records: assessed values over the years, recorded owners and sales, building permits where the town publishes them, the FEMA flood zone measured across the lot, aerial photographs, and statistics about the surrounding area. The price is shown before you pay and charged once, through Stripe. There is no subscription.

Delivery
We email the report to the address you give at checkout within 24 hours of payment. Bank payments can take a few days to clear; we may wait for one to clear before sending. If we find after you've paid that we can't produce a report worth having for that house, we tell you and refund you in full.
- 03
Refunds
If the report isn't useful to you, reply to the email it came with within 14 days and we'll refund you in full. There's no form and you don't need to give a reason. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with; banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it.

What a report is not
It is not a survey, a title search, an appraisal, a home inspection, a flood determination or legal advice. Public records can be incomplete, late or wrong, and the report says where each fact came from so you can check it. Confirm anything you rely on with the town and your own professionals: your agent, attorney, inspector or lender. As far as the law allows, our liability for a report is limited to what you paid for it.
A report describes a property, not a person. Owner names appear only as the town's assessment records list them.

Your information
Stripe handles payment. We receive your email address, the property you ordered and whether the payment went through, never your card number. We use your email only to send the report and answer your questions, and we don't sell or share it.
We count visits and searches with Google Analytics: which town and state people look at, and how many go on to buy. The addresses you search are not sent to it.
